Distillation, Wine & Brewing Studies
During the past decade, the University of Kentucky has invested in faculty, resources and farmland to serve emerging distillation, wine and brewing (DWB) industries. The development of a robust DWB program organizes these efforts and provides Kentucky students with a knowledge of a multibillion-dollar international industry with a myriad of dynamic career opportunities.
Environmental Engineering
Environmental engineering careers often begin with education in traditional engineering disciplines, but require specialized cross-disciplinary training to cover a broader breadth to address environmental issues. For engineering degree-seeking students who are interested in pursuing environmental-related careers, this certificate enhances degree programs available within the College of Engineering.
Power and Energy
The undergraduate PEIK certificate is built on a series of foundational courses supplemented by a broad array of more advanced elective courses related to power and energy. These advanced courses cover both conventional and emerging areas, including smart grid systems, distributed generation, system protection, energy storage, solar power systems, biofuels, and others.

Power and Energy
The purpose of the Graduate Certificate in power and energy is to provide students with state of the art knowledge in power and energy areas and produce well-trained graduates in power and energy areas. Students will learn different aspects of power and energy including technical, societal, regulatory, economical, and political issues, learn critical analysis skills, gain real world experiences and get better prepared for a career in power and energy sector.

Stream & Watershed Science
The Stream and Watershed Science Graduate Certificate provides students with an understanding of the complex physical, biological and social systems involved in stream and watershed-related issues. This certificate integrates many of the disciplines and professional areas of engineering, science, policy and management in the study of stream and watershed systems and the successful management of these systems.
