Advising
All students are welcome and encouraged to meet with their advisor and faculty members in the department with any questions or concerns regarding the program, program requirements, opportunities for scholarships, undergraduate research and future employment.

Career & Co-Op Center
Whether you are a freshman or a senior, experts in career development want to make your resume shine, prepare you for job interviews, and help you find internships, co-ops and full-time jobs in engineering.

Education Abroad
Being successful in today's diverse, interconnected workforce means having intercultural knowledge and a global understanding of your industry. There are a variety of opportunities including study abroad, intern abroad, research abroad, service abroad and teach abroad programs. Programs can range from two weeks to a full semester or longer.

Engineering Tutoring
Peer tutors offer all engineering students assistance with homework in engineering and major-related courses. Come learn how to work your way through those tough classes efficiently and effectively!

Living Learning Program
The Engineering Living Learning Program (ELLP) offers a unique opportunity to engineering students to live together in a community focused on one goal – academic success. There are over 50 events and activities planned throughout the academic year.

Mentoring Programs
The College of Engineering's Alumni Mentor Program matches a current engineering student with a UK engineering graduate from the same major. The mentor and mentee communicate during the academic year to discuss questions about what an engineering workplace is like, the multiple career pathways you can take as an engineer, current engineering projects, their experience as a UK student, and how to connect what you're doing as a student with what you would do as a professional engineer.

Scholarships
Undergraduate students who enroll in biosystems engineering are eligible for scholarships from both the College of Engineering and the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. Graduate students who pursue a masters or doctorate in biosystems and agricultural engineering are eligible, depending on funding and course of study, for assistantships.

Student Organizations
Many students enhance their academic careers by becoming involved in student project teams and organizations. These activities can provide leadership opportunities, hands-on engineering experience and a chance to meet other engineering students.

Undergraduate Research
The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is dedicated to providing coordination, leadership, and support for University of Kentucky undergraduates in all majors and class levels. OUR offers awards and activities to support undergraduate research across the university. The OUR promotes research as a high impact student experience to enhance readiness to succeed in future careers and foster student success.
