Wildcat Pulling Team
The Wildcat Pulling Team competes in The International 1/4 Scale Tractor Student Design Competition hosted and organized by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). Collegiate Teams from all across North America and Canada compete in the event and are judged in five main categories:
- Comprehensive Design Report describing detailed technical aspects of the machine as well as an economic analysis of the design
- Oral Team Presentation highlighting the positive aspects of the design
- Functional Aspects of the Design with respect to safety, serviceability, manufacturability and ergonomics
- Performance Competition, using a progressive weight transfer sled
- Maneuverability Competition, testing each tractor's ability to maneuver an obstacle course
The competition challenges students to go beyond simply building a tractor, and the event culminates with a tractor pull competition, an area in which the Wildcat Pulling Team historically has excelled.

Team History
Founded in the fall semester of 1998, the UK Wildcat Pulling Team competed for the first time in 1999. They have participated in 23 competitions and have consistently performed well, placing in the top three 14 times.
